Software engineer with Nearly 20 years building systems, leading teams, and teaching what I learn.
I'm Sergio Infante, a Peruvian software engineer and cloud architect. I specialize in Python, cloud architecture with AWS, and scalable systems design. I have worked with top-tier global technology consultancies, building serverless solutions, integrating AI models with AWS Bedrock and SageMaker, and leading distributed technical teams at global scale.
Before specializing in cloud, I served as Technical Director at an international consultancy, overseeing the QA, UX, IoT, and Architecture labs. That experience taught me that technical excellence only makes sense when it translates into real value for the team and the client.
My connection to open source goes back a long way: I contributed to GNOME 3.0, was selected for Google Summer of Code in 2010, and collaborated on the Spanish localization of OpenOffice.org. Over the years I have created and published open source libraries, built software communities, organized events, and spoken at technical conferences and meetups.
Alongside all of this, I have spent years sharing what I learn: I have published books on Django, created courses on Udemy, and maintain a YouTube channel and a podcast about software development, while also having taught at universities and technical training centers.
Teaching is a core part of my work. I'm an Udemy instructor with Docker and Python courses, and I previously taught Software Engineering and Web Development at university level for 6 years.
I also produce technical content in Spanish: a YouTube channel with Python and AWS tutorials, a podcast about software development and photography, and I published a book on Django available on Amazon Kindle.
I've presented at PyCon Colombia, AWS Community Day, and AWS Community Fest Peru on Clean Architecture with FastAPI, LLM integration on AWS, NLP analysis, and serverless patterns.
